Are we going to adjust the roster sizes with Houston headed to the AL?

I would not make any change in response to Houston in the Al leagues. It's inclusion will slightly deepen an already too thin pool. If I made a change, I would change both AL leagues and NL leagues to 24 man rosters with $270 budgets. The extra player in the AL would be a pitcher (and the NL would lose a position player), so we would have 14 position players and 10 pitchers. In the AL, the result would be a somewhat richer position player pool and a comparable pitcher pool. I think the result in the NL would be a comparable position player pool and a somewhat thinner pitcher pool.

I realize it is early, but I think there should be more discussion of this issue. On the bright side, it looks as if mocksports baseball will continue. Hopefully we will get draft dates in the next week.

It's never too early to start talking about baseball. But I do agree, we need more discussion on what changes are going to be made as a result of Houston moving to the AL.

Based on last years AL free agent pools for positional players, I agree that we should not add to that problem by adding another positional player to the roster. So I am in agreement with Steve, making both league's (AL & NL) have 24 man rosters. The AL should add 1 pitcher, and the NL should drop 1 positional player, (i.e. UT), and both draft salary caps should be $270.

I love the fact that someone besides me is talking about Baseball Season. I have been counting the days until Pitchers and Catchers report and looking at my Fantasy rosters every day lately thinking about what to do.

With regards to the Astros coming over it really doesn't matter to me what we do. I liked the 23 (14 and 9) as that is a typical roster but would be fine with 24 (AL).

If anyone else reads this and wants to talk trades...let me know.

Bob

I agree with Steve and Rick. 14 plus 10 for $270.

Waiting on Shane, since he is Czar and will have final say!

Shane should be sticking his head in the door sometime soon, to start getting ready for 2013.

Very Happy baseball is coming back, this site is much more enjoyable than ESPN/CBS/Yahoo.

Thanks for all the work & efforts.

24 players/$270 sounds good here.
