Bowie Terminators, Bayou Bengals, Texas Zephyrs
Race for #1:
The Bowie Terminators hold a 2 game lead in the standings over the two teams chasing them for the #1 seed, the Bayou Bengals and Texas Zephyrs. In order for the Zephyrs to win, they will need to win out and will need the Terminators to lose out. The Bengals can take the top spot if they win out and don’t end up in tie solely with the Zephyrs. The Terminators can clinch the #1 seed this weekend in their matchup against the Bengals, but should they fall the Bengals complete the season sweep.
Lambert – The Texas Zephyrs hold a two game lead in the division and their magic number to clinch currently stands at 2. Born to Run can win the division if they win their last two division games and the Zephyrs lose out or if Born wins out and the Zephyrs lost 2 of their last three games. The Ghostown Gophers can win the division if they win out, the Zephyrs lose out, and they don’t surrender their 158.5 point lead in Points For to Born.
Ham – The California Quakes have a one game lead in the division going into this week’s matchup against the Blind Zebras, where the Zebras will be looking to sweep. All 4 teams in this division have a 2-2 record, so the team that manages to win both of their remaining division games will have the inside track to the title. All three of the Quakes, Zebras, and ACE also have the opportunity to win the division outright. ACE can even tie the Zebras for the title to win, as they completed the season sweep last week. The Oakland Renegades can win the division if all four teams finish at 6-8, meaning they will have to win out, the Quakes will have to lose out, ACE will need to win their Week 13 game, and the Zebras will have to lose their Week 13 game. At this point, it’s still anyone’s division to win.
Greene – The Bowie Terminators hold a 2 game lead in the standings over the Bayou Bengals going into this weekend matchup. If the Terminators win, they can clinch the division. If the Bengals win, all they will need to do is tie the Terminators to win the division, as they will complete the season sweep.
Race for the Playoffs:
#4 – The Bayou Bengals hold a two game lead on the next teams in the seedings and hold tiebreakers over all but two of the teams that can catch or surpass them. The California Quakes defeated the Bengals earlier in the season
and North of the 45th split the season series with them, with the Bengals holding a narrow .5 point lead (640 to 639.5). For those reasons, the Bengals magic number to clinch a first round home game is 2.
#5, #6, #7, and #8 – North of the 45th and Born to Run at 6-5 and Ghostown Gophers and Blind Zebras at 5-6 hold these seeds respectively. Also in the playoff hunt is ACE at 4-7 and the Buffalo Bulldogs and Oakland Renegades at 3-8. All of these teams can claim a playoff spot outright, and there are far too many scenarios to list at this point. The Screaming Eagles, however, can still make the Playoffs if they win out, ACE and Blind Zebras both lose out, and the Bulldogs go 2-1 over their last three games.
California Quakes currently have head to head tie breakers over ACE, North, and the Bulldogs with a split with the Renegades (PF 554-576.5 against) with games remaining against the Zebras (12) and ACE (14).
North of the 45th currently has head to head tie breakers over Born, ACE, the Renegades, and the Bulldogs with games remaining against the Bulldogs (12) and Gophers (13).
Born to Run currently has head to head tie breakers over the Gophers, Quakes, Renegades, and Bulldogs with games remaining against ACE (13) and the Gophers (14).
Ghostown Gophers currently have head to head tie breakers over the Quakes, Renegades, and Zebras with games remaining against North (13) and Born (14).
Blind Zebras currently have head to head tie breakers over Born, the Quakes, the Renegades, North, and the Bulldogs with games remaining against the Quakes (12) and Renegades (14).
ACE currently has head to head tie breakers over the Gophers and Zebras with games remaining against the Renegades (12), Born (13), and the Quakes (14).
Buffalo Bulldogs currently have head to head tie breakers over the Gophers, ACE, and the Renegades with a game remaining against North (12).
Oakland Renegades currently have head to head tie breakers over ACE with a split with the Quakes (PF 576.5-554 in favor) with games remaining against ACE (12) and the Zebras (14).
