I sent a message to Shane to find out what we need to do start using automated transactions. Until we get word back about automation, I suggest we proceed like the old days.

If a league needs transaction caught up, let me know and I can get to it.

In the process, please ask whether all players are picked up through FAAB, how often FAAB runs, how we know when the clock starts running on a new free agent if we are distinguishing between new and old, and how we distinguish between new free agents and old free agents if all players are not picked up through FAAB

Newly available players will be picked up by FAAB. "Old" free agents will be available at their current salary or $1.

Players subject to FAAB will not be in the bidding drop-down menu until their second day of availability, and the day their clock starts will show up in the available player listing.

I had hoped to have something more solid by now... <sigh>

Berra (and I assume other leaagues) are not set up for transactions of any kind. Any idea when that will change?

As of the early hours of April 2nd, OnRoto has not completed the coding required to accommodate our requested changes. Until they are finished and, presumably, they communicate with Shane regarding the details of owner-submitted transactions for Mocksports leagues, we really can't open up the "automated" process. I've posted an announcement in the two leagues I administer - one of which is Berra - suggesting that owners submit their transactions as they have in the past. There are Week 1 transaction threads up in both Berra and Sparky, as well as in at least two other leagues.

In the meantime, what serves as the functional equivalent of the Reals.

I'm using player status on OnRoto. That's at least an option that's available to all owners equally.
