There's no such thing as "off topic."

Daughter, Laurie, has completed her first semester of grad school at Loyola and is acclimating to the cold quite well, although she craves grits and Southern-style smoked, chopped pork.
She waits tables at the city's newest P.J. Clarke's (Lincoln Park, I believe) and has become a regular at a little neighborhood tavern in Ravenswood called Gio's where the beer is cold and the TV's are always tuned to sports.
The Bears haven't turned her head yet (she and her brother grew up Niners fans) but she's close enough to Wrigley to begin thinking about Opening Day.

Interesting how you got her into an apartment so close to Wrigley Field.
I suspect that you will be visiting her often. :D
